I'm really no good at introducing myself, but I shall try.

I'm the Mooncroww, but I also go by Amanda. I'm 19 and studying to be a Gemologist. Which means I'm going to be a professional on gems and the industry that provides them. I already know far to many useless facts about both. Did you know that Australia produces the most diamonds if you are mesuring production by weight? But if you are measuring my the amount of gem-quality stones its Russia that provides the most?

Sigh.

When I'm not studying, working or planning my wedding, I'm writing Harry Potter fanfiction.

I work at a jewelry store that gets very little business. So I have taken to writing on yellow post it notes and hiding them before my boss sees, not that he would care. Most of the day is spent polishing silver or staring at the ceiling thinking about HP.

The wedding I mentioned is getting closer and closer. A fact of which I am reminded nearly every day. As if I could forget.

My fiance is also an HP fan, though it took me a long time to convert him. He read all the books in just over three weeks. Now he plays three or four HP RPG games.

I am cousin to the OracleOfOdd. Not a direct cousin, but we still take pride in calling each other "Cousin."

Anyway, that's about all there is to know about me.

Amanda writes wonderful, poignant stories in the spirit of canon, but dealing mostly with what would be the far future of the lives of Harry and his classmates. The truth of her characters' emotional responses shines through. There's plenty of opportunity for drama -- Amanda beats up on her characters like you wouldn't believe. No one escapes a MoonCroww fic without being maimed somehow. But we forgive her. You'll also have to forgive her for making Pansy Parkinson a sympathetic figure. But come on, you have to admit that the girl's a saint compared to Lucius and Narcissa.
