If you're not planning on acquiring a copy of Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince and will remain calm and oblivious through these last days of anticipation before the book's English-language release on Saturday the 16th, please stop reading this thread, as I would not want to bore you.
But for those who are planning to read the book sometime in the near future, I'm announcing a new sub-board, located in Dumbledore's Pensieve, entitled Princely Ponderings.

Currently, there is nothing posted there. Because it is a board exclusively for discussion of the actual contents of Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, not theories about what might happen in it, it is illegal for you to have something to post until after the book is released.
Any posts informed by the contents of Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince should be placed in the new board, Princely Ponderings. Until you've read the book, please post all Harry Potter-related commentary in the main section of Dumbledore's Pensieve. If you have a new theory concerning the rest of the books (e.g., describing the structure of the series as a whole) that includes evidence taken from HBP, please post it in Princely Ponderings. After I'm fairly certain everyone who cares has had an opportunity to read the new book, I may move more generalized theory threads into Dumbledore's Pensieve. Likewise, any parodies or humorous insights based on the content of HBP should go in Princely Ponderings until a time when they can be safely moved to Wizard Wheezes.
Once you've posted, however, you may have to wait for a response.
All of us will be reading at different speeds and will finish at different times. Some will get the book at midnight Friday night, others over the weekend. Some are sharing a copy and will have to wait until someone else has finished reading it to even begin.
I do want to hear your feedback and any theories/connections that occur to you while reading, but not until after I finish the book. I'll probably be away for part of the weekend at a family wedding, and busy with church on Sunday morning, so I won't be able to dedicate as much of the weekend to reading as I would like.
So if you're a speed-reader and finish the book by Saturday afternoon, feel free to post your thoughts on Princely Ponderings, but don't be surprised if a response is slow in coming.
