Unfortunately, due to the rules of the game, Icarus had to die. However, I hope that Big Brother decides to come back in as something else. Therefore, I've asked the player community to help him out with a concept to go after. Have fun!

I have to go with the "Mage who doesn't believe in Magic".... it'll give him his own outlet for his ideas, and maybe then he'll get off my back about how I need to incorporate Technomages into the Harry Potter universe. ;D

Actually, I'm thinking of coming back as one of the NPC's that have appeared in my story.

Get your blasted hands off my airlock or I might have to feed you out the forward torpedo tubes...you know the spare one they use to store all the missing, dirty socks.

So I have to ask, Big Brother - did you WANT to get rid of your character or was it just bad timing?

So I have to ask, Big Brother - did you WANT to get rid of your character or was it just bad timing? Combination of two factors. First, I've been getting bored with writing in general. I liked Icarus Hicks, but wasn't looking forward to several episodes of him sitting in a lab working on carrying out his plan, while Clarke's people set up dummy corporations and labs to mass-produce memory-RNA virii and medical nanobots and so forth. It was either have a bunch of very boring stories about cleaning out test tubes and technobabble exposition, or write a bunch of stories about secret financial and legal maneuvering to set up the dummy corporations, and I can't write that kind of stuff worth crap. Second, the immediate conversation between Lwan and Clarke I HAD been looking forward to writing, but when sitting down and trying to actually write it, I couldn't get it the way I wanted it. So I put it off and put it off until it was too late, and I ended up stuck for the weekend at Chris' apartment, without phone service or even electricity (what an inconvenient time to not pay his bill) and was unable to work on the story or send it out if I had finished it.
