I will never cease to be amazed by the fact that there are people in this world with even more free time than myself.
Some civil war re-enactors in Columbus, Ohio decided to invite another group who like to dress up in silly oufits and obsess over obscure geeky details to one of their mock battles...so they invited some local die-hard trekkies to take part in a what-if scenario. So what happens when a starfleet crew finds themselves in the middle of a civil war battle?

And now, to prove what a geek I am...we already know what will happen when starfleet crew go up against civil war soldiers. In the Voyager episode "The Q and the Grey" two factions of the Q continuum battle it out metaphorically with confederate and union soldiers, and Janeway gets caught in the middle in full Scarlett O'Hara regalia...it's part of the subplot where Q wants Janeway to have his baby.
