I am known as "Nearly-Headless Nick" to the student body, but I prefer "Sir Nicholas". I am the resident ghost of Gryffindor House, being killed in a beheading gone awry on October 31, 1492 which left my head attached by a half-inch of skin and sinew. Consequently, I have been denied membership in the 'Headless Hunt' 487 times - but who's counting? I'm an avid Quidditch fan, enjoy floating through walls with the Grey Lady, and am highly ill-tempered when petrified, though you'd never know it at the time . Also, I've found that re-enacting my flawed execution is great at parties. You'll find me drifting about from time to time. Don't be afraid to say 'hello'. Peeves is telling me to say something; please, excuse me. Oh. "Boo."

So...when you and the Grey Lady are all alone in a darkened coridor, do you ever ask her if she wants to neck?

Funny. Ha. Ha. I percieve that you have been waiting for such a time when you could ask me that question. However, I'll oblige you this once. No, I do not. I prefer a rousing round of 'Abrading the Knightsman'. Note: You asked for it.

Hey, Nicky, good to see you! How's the haunting? I'll never forget the time you helped me with that problem in the place with the thing -- your assistance was invaluable. If Peeves continues to give you trouble, just threaten him with the Bloody Baron. Also, there used to be a poltergeist-proof trunk somewhere at the far end of the fifth floor corridor, and if it's still there, I'm sure Peeves'd love to be shut in it for a couple of days.

Hello, Sir Nicholas. Nice to see you on the board. How's it hangin' (your head, I mean...)? Feel free to haunt Snape's Dungeon or Dumbledore's Pensieve, or anywhere else, for that matter. Even if the Headless Hunt didn't want you, I'm sure the Vale of Oddisy will. We're always looking for someone with a good head on their shoulders. You and I will have to talk when it gets closer to Halloween about having a nice Deathday party for your 512th.

Is it 512 already? My, my, how the time flies when you're weightless and dead ....
Sorry it's taken me so long to visit again ... Term starts in a few weeks and the other ghosts and I have been discussing several ideas to liven things up a bit.
Snape has never allowed me in his dungeon before ... Not like he can do a whole to stop me ... put up a wall? He favors the Baron, you know. I may stick my head in a time or two, though -- See what's up.
The Vale of Oddisy? Is that in Warwickshire? Queer folk there.

And now we have ghosts haunting the boards ... That's cool, though. I've always assumed you'd be interesting, Sir Nicholas. Good to see you on board, and maybe I'll see you around. Later Dayz, [glow=orange,5,500]The Oracle[/glow] PS: I will attest to the odd folks in Warwickshire ... though, no, the Vale is not anywhere near there, but you are still welcome to visit.

Ahoy there Sir Nick... Even though my salutations are a bit late, I thought I'd welcome you to the board. If Snape gives you any trouble for hanging out in his dungeon, just ignore him. He's only grouchy because he hasn't had a hug in years. In fact you might mention this to him... Anyway... good to see you.
