Apparently the local wizarding folk in the London suburb of Islington are so fed up with the Muggle department of parking enforcement that they have put a curse on the local meter maids.

Sis, you really need to write these guys into your story as a local chapter of the KoW who don't quite comprehend the switchover to the DE's and get offed by LV for incompetence.

I dunno, I think it would be funnier as a problem faced by the Ministry of Magic, maybe as a headline in the Daily Prophet.

Elder Fined Following Islington Incident

Wizengamot Elder Barnabas Breedbate, 93, has been suspended and fined three hundred Galleons for the use of minor jinxes on Muggles. The Department of Magical Law Enforcement found Breedbate responsible for a spate of attacks on Muggle law enforcement in the Highbury & Islington district.

According to the Ministry's Bartemius Crouch, Breedbate attacked Muggle 'policemen' with a variety of hexes in no fewer than six incidents over the course of two months. "He was clever," said Crouch, "but we finally caught him in the act, giving tusks to some poor woman who was only trying to do her job."

Following his hearing, Breedbate told the Prophet, "I was only trying to keep those vultures off my car. You should be able to park a car anywhere you ruddy want to if no one can see it. Not my fault the Disillusionment Charm kept wearing off early."

Breedbate grudgingly added that he will probably have to sell the car to pay the fine.

Wizengamot Administration Services declined official comment, but an unnamed source stated that Breedbate will likely be reinstated without further penalty when his suspension is up.

Yeah, you're right, that does work a bit better....but you need to come up with something better than giving a meter maid tusks.

Not that i can think of anything better at the moment, though.
